I still don’t see a need :) but I’m really liking using this almost daily. I still wash my brushes weekly, but this just keeps them looking and feeling cleaner until the proper clean. I thought these brush cleaners were oil based, don’t know why but this is not at all. Fresh and watery.
Not a replacement for a thorough clean with warm water & shampoo but a fantastic daily cleaner so you only need to deep clean your brushes once a week. My brushes are always dry when I go to use them the next day.
It breaks my heart to have to say something negative about any ELF product as I have almost everything they sell but the brush cleaner was disappointing. I gave it 4 stars simply because it smells amazing. It doesn't clean my brushes at all but I love the smell sooo much that I bought about 10 bottles of it to add to my brush cleaner that does work. It is lovely and refreshing and love the smell on my clean face brushes is divine. I do use a lot of cream based products but even my powder products were building up in the brushes when using this product. It's not very strong but if you don't use a lot of makeup, then it might suit you better. I use a variety of makeup everyday and need something stronger. Thanks ELF for all your amazing products but this is a hands down for me.
